I have to admit, this is my first 'serious' maxi skirt. (I mean the white gypsy skirt i had when i was 15 doesn't count.) Lets say 2 years ago i would have never even thought of getting one as they are quite impractical( ..like tripping over about 10 times a day, getting stuck in your bikes wheels etc.-the joy of living in Amsterdam :D). But this one here, i couldn't just say no. I really had a "Confessions of a Shopaholic" moment there! Maxi lengths really add variety to your wardrobe, stand out and on top of everything, allot of fun to wear. Just try not to break your bones! x
There are some pieces of clothing you simply must have to jazz up your looks, like stripes and some good old denim shorts. Pair of the ones that I'm wearing here are probably the best thing ever happen to me (closet point of view i mean). I cant name a top that i haven't matched up those shorts with. They are slightly high-waisted and little bit thorn, which gives this vintage-destroyed-my-brandnew-Levi's-jeans look! Dress them down, dress them up, winter time, summer time, it all works. Best thing ever...
I'm in love!! ...with my new skirt. Short in the front and long in the back. Such a new twist to this classic maxi skirt. Although all the trend reports are advising the girls to toss the maxi lengths, ..but how could i ever toss this?!?!
Look what i found.. Actually its more correct to say, look what found me. I was just shopping around for nothing particular and this BEAU-tiful coat come across my way :D! It's from River Island by Design forum and gone into Sale, less then half pris. Now there, really no excuse anymore, so i came home with a big bag and even bigger smile on my face!
One of my best investments must be definitely this red blazer. Its like a finishing touch to (almost) every outfit, which makes it a wardrobe staple in my opinion. Here i combined it with my leopard print tube/pencil skirt (obsessed with it it:D) and I have to say Im really loving the knee lengths at the moment. Today i tried to convince myself its early spring and left my coat at home. ...wasn't the smartest thing to do, but as they say- cold hands, warm heart! Right!? :D
As i was just going through some of my albums, i came across the photos i took in one of the press events i attended while back here in Amsterdam organized by a PR office Lifestyle Press. They were introducing mainly AW 2012 collections by several different labels. I met some really lovely people and had amazing time. All the guests were welcomed by delishh cocktails and of course plenty of cupcakes. On top of it we all received an adorable goodie bag with some nice presents. So thanks again to Lifestyle for such a wonderful afternoon!
Never mind the good old red, its all about burgundy. I'm not sure where the obsession came from, but I'm completely in love with this color! It goes with pretty much every item in my wardrobe. Something mysterious and deep about, so it adds a little luxury into your every day life! On the photos I'm wearing my burgundy top from Zara, which I'v already worn so many times people might think its the only thing i owe! ..well at least got my moneys worth! Add a touch of gold and your ready to go.
